Environmental pollution size of the Bishkek Solid Waste Landfill and treatment of generated leachate wastewater

The disposal of municipal solid wastes (MSW) is one the important issues today. MSW generally disposed in a landfill. disintegration landfill generates wastewater known as leachate and it became budding environmental impacts. seeps into natural ponds next to Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan) MSWs are dumped with an irregular Bishkek, has been observed that this situation creates many pollution problems (air due combustion generated biogas, leakage from landfill) around not treated leaks environment. In study, potential coagulation-flocculation(CF) electrooxidation (EO) processes was investigated for treatment sanitary located Bishkek-Kyrgyzstan. initial COD (1400 ± 50 mg/L), TOC (540 15 ammonia nitrogen (315 10 mg/L) were by CF process 33, 23, 14% at pH 6.5 alum dosage 5 g/L, 40, 29 10.1% 8.5 ferric chloride respectively.Removal efficiencies applied currents 1.0, 3.0, 5.0 A EO reactor using boron-doped diamond (BDD) plate anode stainless steel (SS) cathode 67.20, 88.30, 97.90% COD, 60.10, 85.38, 95.53% TOC, 48.9, 94.6 99.8% nitrogen, respectively. As result, seen Bishkek’s waste landfilling leachate, which causes pollution, effectively process. By establishing regular landfill, must be leachate.
